Cookie Notice
Last updated June 26, 2026
This Cookie Notice explains how sectionmaster ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://sectionmaster.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them more efficient, and to provide reporting information. We also use similar technologies such as local storage (which stores small amounts of data in your browser) and pixels.
How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, to keep the Services secure, to remember your preferences, to process payments, and to understand how the Services are used. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell or share your information for targeted advertising.
| Category | Purpose | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in/session cookies set by our authentication provider (Convex) to keep you logged in, and an admin session cookie for site administrators. | Always active |
| Analytics | Set by PostHog to understand how visitors use the Services (e.g. pages viewed, features used) so we can improve them. Not used for advertising. | Optional |
| Payments | Set by Stripe during checkout to process payments securely and help prevent fraud. | Active during checkout |
Local storage
In addition to cookies, we store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage to improve your experience — for example, your saved sections, recent searches, and a cached copy of your profile picture. This data stays on your device and is not used for tracking or advertising. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Third parties that set cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party service providers we use to run the Services. You can review their privacy practices here:
- Convex (authentication / hosting) — convex.dev/legal/privacy
- PostHog (analytics) — posthog.com/privacy
- Stripe (payments) — stripe.com/privacy
How to control cookies
Analytics cookies are off until you accept them via our cookie banner. You can at any time to accept or reject them.
Most web browsers are also set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually set your browser to remove or reject cookies, and to clear local storage. Please note that strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off without breaking core functionality such as signing in — if you block them, parts of the Services may not work.
You can also opt out of analytics tracking by enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" setting or by using browser privacy controls and extensions. For more on how we respond to such signals, see the "Controls for do-not-track features" section of our Privacy Policy.
Changes to this notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
